Rubella protection for the bride
A blood test, or an MR vaccine. Then wait 1 month before pregnancy.
Why It Matters (Clinical Guidance)
- Rubella in early pregnancy can cause serious birth defects.
- One vaccine gives long-lasting protection.
- After the vaccine, avoid pregnancy for 1 month.
If the window has passed: Still worth doing. Wait 1 month after the vaccine before trying for a baby.
