Every month in the first year (and on to age 2)Guideline

Plot weight and length every month
At the Anganwadi or vaccine visit, on the WHO growth chart.
Why It Matters (Clinical Guidance)
- A flat or falling line matters more than any single weight.
- In Odisha, the share of under-5s who are too thin for their height rose from 18.1% to 22.1% (NFHS-6).
- Ask the Anganwadi worker to show you the chart each time.
Respectful Message for Elders & Family
Send on WhatsApp“Maa, we are taking the baby to the Anganwadi every month to check the weight on the growth chart. It shows early if the baby needs more food.”
