Hot days: keep the baby cool

Hot days: keep the baby cool

Feed more often, light cotton, shade. Never leave a baby in a parked car.

Why It Matters (Clinical Guidance)

  • Under 6 months, breast milk is enough even in summer. No extra water.
  • A parked car heats up very fast and can kill.
  • Hot skin, unusual sleepiness or fewer wet nappies mean see a doctor now.

“Maa, the doctors say babies under 6 months don't need water even in the heat; breast milk is enough. Water can fill the tummy and make the baby sick.”
