Explain the law on consent: it is 18
Under POCSO, any sexual act with someone under 18 is a crime, even with 'consent'.
Why It Matters (Clinical Guidance)
- Doctors and schools must report any sexual activity involving an under-18 to the police.
- Teens in relationships can end up in court. They need to know this before, not after.
- Talk calmly about consent, respect, contraception and the law. If a case arises, get a lawyer.
